Booskerdoo Coffee
The coffee beans we use at Lava Java are 100% locally-roasted! All but one of our retail and menu coffees come directly from Booskerdoo Coffee & Baking Company, located only 25 minutes away in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
Our house roast, "Happy Larry," is named after our co-owner himself, Larry Adams. This mild breakfast blend is specialty-roasted for Lava Java, and we are the proud, sole retailer. Try it and you'll be feeling happy, too!
The other roaster that we source from is Mud Coffee, located in NYC....where our owner, Brook, got her start in the coffee business! Lava Java is the only seller of Mud in the state of New Jersey. We use this delicious dark roast for our iced coffee, and brew a hot pot early in morning during the week.
